Let young learners know the stories of our national heroes. Help them identify, understand, and appreciate our heroes' strength of character, contributions, and sacrifices; emulate their traits and values; and reflect on what they can share even in their young lives. Grades 3 and 4 materials focus on Karunungan at Kahusayan, Grade 5 on Kalayaan, and Grade 6 on Karapatan at Dignidad.

The series is a collection of five picture books written in Filipino. The books are classified as contemporary realistic fiction and geared towards developing the social–emotional competencies of learners 9 to 12 years old. The Kalasag stories are set in five environmental concerns, namely, Covid-19 pandemic, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, and typhoons.                            

The Kalasag stories are written by an award-winning author, Asst. Prof. Genaro R. Gojo Cruz, recipient of the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature and PBBY Salanga Prize, among other recognitions.

It is a collection of six fables about a group of jungle animal friends and their adventures. Aside from the fun, colorful, and age-appropriate illustrations, the stories promote the development of the five core competencies of social and emotional learning (SEL): self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.           

The materials, written in English, can be used in class or for at-home reading. With these storybooks, young learners are also expected to learn and develop virtues such as kindness, patience, honesty, and gratitude.       

For every learner's health and safety, drug education is imperative. With accurate information, drug education raises awareness about the harmful effects of drug use/abuse, empowers individuals to make healthier choices, and promotes safer communities.                         

REX's information, education, and communication (IEC) materials ensure coverage of cross-cutting issues such as drug use/abuse prevention and drug education in the curriculum as mandated by the National Drug Education Program as provided in Republic Act No. 9165, Article IV, Section 43. These IEC materials include teacher-aided visual resources such as posters, activity panels, and flipcharts, bundled from Grades 1 to 3, Grades 4 to 6, and Grades 7 to 10.

REX's IEC materials on climate change mitigation and adaptation are expected to raise awareness and understanding of the subject; provide strategies and assist with informed actions toward minimizing adverse impacts on climate change; and help equip individuals with skills to adapt to and mitigate changes.
